The latest edition of Night of The Siam in Pisa delivered a spectacular night of elite Muay Thai, crowned by two decisive second-round victories that shook up the WKU divisions.
In the main attraction, Ruben Sciortino put on a tactical masterclass to capture the WKU Men’s -67kg World Title. After a calculated opening round spent dissecting Gaston Nicoletti’s defenses, the Italian fighter unleashed a fierce, surgical combination in the second. The clinical striking sequence left Nicoletti unable to recover, earning Sciortino a spectacular KO victory at 1’20” of Round 2 and cementing his status at the pinnacle of the sport.
The co-featured bout saw a similar swift resolution as Sweden’s Lilija Havrylyuk claimed the vacant WKU Women’s -52.5kg Intercontinental Title. Local favorite Carlotta Dama started aggressively, trying to breach Havrylyuk’s airtight guard in front of a roaring home crowd. However, the momentum flipped entirely in the second frame when Havrylyuk launched a relentless, high-pressure offensive. Unable to withstand the tactical onslaught, Dama’s corner was forced into a retirement, handing Havrylyuk a well-deserved TKO victory at 1’40” of Round 2.
